New Voodoo God

Maman Brigitte

The Protector of the Dead
Passive: Soul Spikes
  • Damaging an enemy with a basic attack or ability afflicts enemies with Soul Spikes. Upon reaching 5 stacks, Maman Brigitte absorbs a piece of their soul, dealing damage based on their missing Health and gaining a Soul Orb from enemy gods. Soul Orbs last 30s.
    • Damage: 1% of your Magical Power per 1% of target’s missing Health
    • Soul Spikes Damage Cap: 70% missing Health
    • Soul Spikes Duration: 10s
Ability 1: Party Trick
  • Maman Brigitte drinks from her bottle and breathes out fire. Enemies are set aflame, damaged every 0.5s for 1.5s, refreshing if they stay in the area. This damage does not trigger Item effects. Maman Brigitte is knockback immune, channeling the fire as long as she has Rum and can cancel at any time. When out of Rum or upon reactivation, she slams her bottle on the ground, damaging and stunning enemies. This ability’s cooldown is reduced based on Rum remaining when the slam occurs.
    • Fire Damage per tick: 8/16/24/32/40 (+10% of your Magical Power)
    • Slam Damage: 40/80/120/160/200 (+35% of your Magical Power)
    • Stun Duration: 1.2s
    • Cost: 20/30/40/50/60
    • Cooldown: 14s-6s based on Rum remaining
Ability 2: Madame Fangs
  • Maman Brigitte’s tattoo snake, Madame Fangs, slithers off of her arm and becomes a spectral snake that passes through enemies, damaging and applying Madame’s Mark to all enemies hit. Subsequent hits from Madame Fangs deal 15% of the initial damage. Enemies with Madame’s Mark take additional damage anytime Maman Brigitte damages them. This bonus damage does not trigger Item effects. Soul Spikes and Item effects do not trigger Madame’s Mark.
    • Madame Fangs Initial Damage: 50/75/100/125/150 (+40% of your Magical Power)
    • Madame’s Mark Damage: 5 (+5% of your Magical Power)
    • Madame’s Mark Duration: 5s
    • Cost: 55
    • Cooldown: 13/12.5/12/11.5/11s
Ability 3: Spirit Seize
  • Maman Brigitte shrouds herself in ghostly energy as she dashes forward, passing through player made walls and damaging enemies. If she hits an enemy god she possesses them, traveling with them and dealing damage every 0.5s for up to 2s. Maman Brigitte can leave her target early by dashing or canceling to step out. If she remains for the full duration, she will dash out as time expires.
    • Initial Hit Damage: 60/90/120/150/180 (+20% of your Magical Power)
    • Possession Tick Damage: 20/25/30/35/40 (+10% of your Magical Power)
    • Cost: 50/60/70/80/90
    • Cooldown: 16s
Ultimate: Explosion of Souls
  • Maman Brigitte gains Crowd Control immunity and gathers a large orb of spiritual energy that she throws at the target location. The orb’s size is determined by the amount of Soul Orbs that Maman Brigitte has collected through Soul Spikes. Enemies hit are damaged, knocked up, and receive Madame’s Mark for 5s. Maman Brigitte loses all Soul Orbs after using Explosion of Souls.
    • Radius: 16.5/18/19.5/21/22.5/24
    • Damage: 160/210/260/310/360 (+85% of your Magical Power)
    • Cost: 100
    • Cooldown: 90s

Game Modes
General
  • Additional time for game start on several modes has been reverted.
  • As a reminder the goal for the initial change was to give players some time to get used to the new starting items – Recipes.
    • Conquest: From 125s to 110s
    • Joust: From 70s to 60s
    • Assault: From 60s to 90s
      • This was incorrectly Reduced in the last patch
        • Oops
    • Slash: From 85s to 75s
We’ve heard your feedback – Slash is receiving a few quality of life updates this patch! Firstly, the Gold and XP spooling are being increased to get the party started even faster than before. Along those same lines, Apophis will be slightly weaker and spawn more often, allowing for earlier skirmishes around his den with an even stronger buff reward. Additionally, the mist has crept in from the surrounding environment, adding invisibility fields around the outer paths of the map!
Slash
  • Increased gold spooling from 7 to 8
  • Increased XP spooling from 6 to 7
  • Apophis
    • Changed respawn time from 4min to 3min
    • Decreased Health from 7250 from 6500
    • Decreased Physical Protections from 60 to 50
    • Decreased Magical Protections from 60 to 50
    • Decreased Power from 140 to 120
    • Veil of Apophis/Shadow of Apophis buffs
      • Increased structure damage buff from 25% to 35%
  • New mist deployables have been added to the entrances of the jungle in the side lanes. Players can enter into these to hide and ambush their enemies or to flee.
    • 1 for each entrance by the constable Blue buff camp
    • 1 in the center entrance by the constable Juggernaut camp
    • these are present at all times
We’re so happy the community is enjoying the Spirit Totems! As we continue to analyze their usage data, we have observed that the Crimson Totem is the clear outlier. We are giving it a small boost to up its viability, so get lifestealing!
Conquest
  • Crimson Spirit Totem
    • Increased Lifesteal from 7% to 10%
Items
As discussed in the 10.9 Bonus Balance Update, we will be buffing the under purchased Recipes in order for them to more directly compete with Bao and Gooseberries before taking any further action. Be sure to taste test their improved flavors! Sturdy Stew
  • Buffed Protections from 5 to 10
Party Punch
  • Buffed Power scaling from 15% to 30% Physical Scaling and 20% Magical Scaling
Durable Drumstick
  • Buffed the damage reduction from 20% to 40%
Breastplate of Valor and Runeforged Hammer are two Solo/Bruiser focused items with Glyphs that have been rather unpopular and unwinning as of late. In the case of Breastplate, we’re aiming to grant it a bit more mana sustain for those Solo lane spammers, while Runeforged will be even better for the CC-heavy gods who want to get active early. Breastplate of Valor
  • Decreased Gold from 2300 to 2250
  • Increased MP5 from 10 to 20
Breastplate of Determination
  • Increased MP5 from 10 to 20
  • Increased Protections per stack from 5 to 7
Breastplate of Vigilance
  • Increased MP5 from 10 to 20
  • Increased Basic attack damage reduction from 15% to 25%
Runeforged Hammer
  • Increased Physical Power from 25 to 30
  • Increased Damage taken debuff on Enemies from 10% to 15%
Flameforged Hammer
  • Increased Physical Power from 25 to 30
  • Increased Burn damage from 5 + 7% of your Protections from items and abilities to 10 + 8%
Runebreaking Hammer
  • Increased Physical Power from 25 to 30
  • Increased Damage taken and dealt debuffs on Enemies from 10% to 15%
Atalanta’s Bow is an item with a niche application but a surprisingly strong passive. We want to grant a little more leeway to those whose aim is to snowball their way through a teamfight by making this item more efficient for the price. Atalanta’s Bow
  • Decreased Cost from 2400 to 2300g
  • Increased Physical Power from 30 to 35
Even while considering the meta of the SPL Kickoff Tournament, Magical ADCs are a bit below the line of balance, especially when building Demonic Grip. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the subclass as a whole to make sure they’re not partying too hard! Demonic Grip
  • Increased Magical Power from 55 to 65
With the introduction of stronger Anti-Healing and Anti-Shielding items to the game over the past few seasons, we’ve noticed that Fae-Blessed Hoops have fallen out of favor. While we certainly want to be cautious around sustain, we want to spread the love during these festivities, and so will your healers! Fae-Blessed Hoops
  • Increased Shield health gained from 3% of target Max HP to 5%
Gods
Buffs
Achilles The solo lane’s favorite show-off just hasn’t been getting the applause he’s used to. His teamfight still feels impactful but his early lane is often too risky to get him there. Radiant Glory and Combat Dodge getting some early game focused buffs should help players of all levels shine as the Hero of the Trojan War should. Radiant Glory
  • Increased Max Heals per Ability from 2/2/3/3/4 to 3/3/3/3/4
Combat Dodge
  • Increased Damage from 60/95/130/165/200 to 65/100/135/170/205 per hit
  • Decreased Mana cost from 24/28/32/36/40 to 22/24/26/28/30
Artio Artio dominated the meta at the end of Season 8 and early Season 9 before being forced into a long hibernation. She’s been slumbering for long enough, so we are partially reverting one of the larger nerfs that she received during her period of meta dominance and giving her a damage buff. Energy Surge (Maul Prey)
  • Decreased Cooldown (on both forms) from 15/14.5/14/13.5/13s to 13s
Heavy Charge (Life Tap)
  • Increased Damage from 65/110/155/200/245 to 75/120/165/210/255
Baron Samedi Baron Samedi is excited to see Maman Brigitte joining him on the Battleground, but he also needs to make sure she doesn’t make others forget who the Life of the Party is. Life of the Party
  • Increased Damage Mitigation from 35% to 50%
Cerberus Ghastly Breath has had too much bark and not enough bite. Base Magical Protections have gone up but Ghastly Breath has remained the same, so we are giving it back some Protection shred that it is known for. Stygian Torment is also getting a buff to get it more in line with other more damaging Guardians. Ghastly Breath
  • Increased Protections reduced from 5/7/9/11/13 to 5/8/11/14/17 per stack
Stygian Torment
  • Increased Damage from 160/230/300/370/440 to 180/255/330/405/480
Charybdis Charybdis has one of the most unique and fun Basic Attack chains of any god in SMITE. Because of how rapidly the final burst can stack Basic Attack proc Items, she does reduced damage from Items. We think she still needs this reduction, but that it doesn’t need to be quite as intense. This, coupled with a buff to a strong clear and utility ability, should help Charybdis rise in priority. Raging Tides
  • Decreased the Item Damage Reduction from 30% to 25%
Capsize
  • Decreased Cooldown from 16/15/14/13/12s to 14/13.5/13/12.5/12s
Cu Chulainn Cu Chulainn’s identity as a lane bully just has not matched the reality of his lane performance. Minion tankiness increases and less Physical Power in tank builds have combined to force him to the depths of the win-rate charts. We are usually particularly careful about giving damage increases to gods like Cu Chulainn, but feel that he needs them now in order to return to relevancy. Barbed Spear (Ground Slam)
  • Increased base Damage (on both forms) from 75/135/195/255/315 to 85/145/205/265/325
Salmon’s Leap (Furious Charge)
  • Increased base Damage (on both forms) from 65/120/175/230/285 to 70/125/180/235/290
Da Ji Da Ji has struggled to inflict more than a flesh wound as of late. Despite being out of meta for a while, we have seen how quickly she rises to prominence when she is strong, particularly at the higher levels of play. Her high level viability is often centered around Paolao and burst damage from Horrible Burns. In buffing the other abilities, we are hoping that she sees more success at all skill levels without becoming overbearing at the top end. One Thousand Cuts
  • Increased damage from 30/50/70/90/110 + 35% to 35/55/75/95/115 + 40%
Trickster Spirit
  • Decreased Cooldown from 17/16.5/16/15.5/15s to 15s at all ranks
Heimdallr Heimdallr’s emphasis on vision is a unique and fitting archetype that has some untapped potential. Giving him Piercing Sight more often and allowing The Vigilant to be more rewarding will make his gameplay loop feel more rewarding and more impactful. The Vigilant
  • Increased Power per stack from 2% to 3%
Piercing Sight
  • Decreased Cooldown from 14s to 12s
Kumbhakarna The sleepiest god on the battleground needs a little motivation to get moving. Throw Back scales down to a fairly low cooldown, particularly for a movement ability, but since this is Kumbakarna’s primary wave clear and damage ability he needs to have access to it more often earlier in the game. Throw Back
  • Decreased Cooldown from 13/12.5/12/11.5/11s to 11s
Groggy Strike
  • Increased damage from 90/145/200/255/310 to 100/155/210/265/320
Lancelot Big shoutouts to lil_glam on Reddit for noticing that Lancelot wasn’t receiving his intended amount of MP5. While this will be a significant help, the First Knight still needed a little bit more to feel confident in battle. General
  • Base MP5 changed from 1.6 to 4.6
    • This was much lower than original intent and was not discovered until recently
      • Shout out to lil_glam on Reddit!
Piercing Thrust
  • Decreased Cooldown from 12s to 10s
Surtr Surtr certainly had an explosive entrance at the beginning of Year 10, but his flames have dulled too much since his last round of nerfs. Even at Surtr’s peak, Flames of Muspell’s scaling strength wasn’t a significant contributor to his dominance. We don’t want to see him getting pressure for free with Emberwalk like he did before, but think there is room for players who invest time into stacking Flames of Muspell to be better rewarded. Flames of Muspell
  • Increased damage from 30 + 3 to 35 + 5 per stack
The Morrigan (Partial Revert) The Morrigan has received plenty of nerfs centered around her mid lane clear. She received a particularly heavy round of nerfs near the end of Year 9 that we feel can be partially reverted, focusing on her ability to clear. Deadly Aspects
  • Increased damage scaling from 70% to 75%
Dark Omen
  • Increased Initial Base Damage, Bonus Minion Base Damage, and Bonus god Base Damage from 35/65/95/125/155 to 40/70/100/130/160
Vamana After dominating at the beginning of Year 10, we determined that it was indeed Vamana that was “small now.” No one is ready to get stomped by Colossal Fury again, but Vamana clearly needs some help. Armored Umbrella
  • Decreased Cooldown from 15/14/13/12/11s to 13/12.5/12/11.5/11s
Umbrellarang
  • Increased Damage from 50/85/120/155/190 to 55/90/125/160/195 per hit
Nerfs
Amaterasu Amaterasu was a dominant force in the SPL Path to Worlds Kickoff tournament, and the buff to Divine Presence was certainly a big factor in that. We are happy that the added Attack Speed is a fun and noticeable buff for her, but there is room for it to come down. Divine Presence
  • Decreased Attack Speed buff from 15/20/25/30/35% to 15/17.5/20/22.5/25%
Ao Kuang Executes are a particularly powerful tool, especially in the hands of an Assassin with plenty of damage. Ao Kuang getting access to his execute less often will make him less likely to gobble up a teamfight. King of the Eastern Seas
  • Increased Cooldown from 90s to 100s
Arachne Well well well, look what we have here. Arachne’s buffs have turned out to be quite impactful. One of the more underrated changes that she received is that the Attack Speed from Cocoon persists beyond the initial stun, meaning she has significantly more uptime on this buff than before. We will be closely monitoring Arachne to see if players get more accustomed to her quicker stun and stronger presence. Cocoon
  • Decreased Attack Speed from 30/40/50/60/70% to 20/30/40/50/60%
Chernobog Chernobog flew under the radar in comparison to the other high-flying Hunter that received a spicy buff in 10.10, but he has proven to be the stronger of the two. Like with Arachne, we will continue to closely monitor Chernobog. Vicious Barrage
  • Decreased Attack Speed stim from 40/45/50/55/60% to 30/35/40/45/50%
He Bo For a long time Atlas of the Yellow River flew under the radar despite being a strong ability. Most of our players now recognize how strong this ability is, particularly how often He Bo has it available. Atlas of the Yellow River
  • Increased Cooldown from 12s to 14s
Kali Kali continues to see one of the highest ban rates in Ranked Conquest, with an impressive win rate to justify it. Her build path is usually focused on Attack Speed and Basic Attack items without much power, relying on the free power she receives from Incense. The uptime on that buff was higher than most stims, so we are bringing it more in line. Incense
  • Decreased Duration from 4/5/6/7/8s to 4/4.5/5/5.5/6s
Raijin Raijin having access to more abilities throughout the game has certainly revitalized our resident percussionist. The only damage buff that he received was in the new initial hit added to Raiju. We are reducing the early game damage on it to match the tick damage and increasing its cooldown. Raiju
  • Decreased base damage from 40/45/50/55/60 to 20/30/40/50/60
  • Increased Cooldown from 14/13/12/11/10s to 15/14/13/12/11s
New Skin Voice Actors

  • The Spectacular Chang’e: Cristina Vee
  • Spirit Dancer Pele: Jeannie Tirado
  • Necromalice Martichoras: Marc Graue
  • Skeletal Slayer Achilles: Todd Haberkorn
  • Tabby Toil Ganesha: Sean Chiplock
  • Synthweaver Nox: Amber Lee Connors
  • Roborat Ratatoskr: Casey Mongillo
