Bonus Balance – Live April 2
Items
Bluestone Brooch While it feels like many of the Tier 1 Starter Items are quite even with each other, Bluestone’s standard upgrade has shot up in popularity among some solo laners, but mostly for Physical mid laners. We are slightly nerfing the damage to bring it more in line with its competitors.
  • Decreased Current Health Damage from 12% to 10%
We understand there has been significant community discussion around Sphinx’s Bauble. While some feel like it makes certain characters very strong, others feel it is overrated. However, it definitely has seen a huge uptick in purchase rate. We are taking extra time to evaluate it in order to get as much data as possible to determine exactly which adjustment makes the most sense for it.
Gods
Charon Small nerfs have not done much to take the Ferryman down, so we are going all-in on widespread nerfs throughout his kit focused mostly on damage, but some utility as well. Spectral Surge
  • Decreased trail Damage from 8/10/12/14/16 to 6/8/10/12/14
  • Decreased initial hit Damage Scaling from 55% to 45%
Damnation
  • Increased Cooldown from 14/13.5/13/12.5/12s to 16/15.5/15/14.5/14s
Swift Voyage
  • Decreased Damage from 80/130/180/230/280 to 65/115/165/215/265
Kuzenbo Kuzenbo is a surprise rising star amongst many ranks, and much of this is due to the way his playstyle revolves around his quick-refreshing Cooldowns. We want to be cautious to not remove the “fun” from his core gameplay loop, so we are being careful to only adjust his Cooldowns as much as necessary. Shell Spikes
  • Shifted Cooldown Reduction per hit from .5/.7/.9/1.1/1.3s to .6/.7/.8/.9/1s
Sumo Slam
  • Increased Cooldown from 12s to 14s
Odin With Odin’s recent quality of life adjustments, we have seen his pick and win rates skyrocket – which he definitely needed! This is mostly due to the damage of Gungnir’s Might being squished into two pulses rather than three, meaning he is getting off that damage significantly faster now. As such, we are directly nerfing that while we continue to monitor him for further adjustments if necessary. Gungnir’s Might
  • Decreased Pulse Damage from 45/75/105/135/165 to 35/65/95/125/155
  • Decreased Gungnir Damage from 60/120/180/240/300 to 55/110/165/220/275
Martichoras One of the strongest Physical mid laners at the moment, Martichoras’ safety has always been a sticking point as to why he would get frequently selected. Alongside the Bluestone Brooch nerf, he will be reigning terror from the skies at a slightly reduced rate. Death From Above
  • Increased Cooldown from 100s to 110s
Ah Muzen Cab Perhaps one of the greatest Bluestone Brooch users, Ah Muzen Cab has been rising up the ranks. As such, we want to limit how frequently he can easily poke and apply item effects through his most consistent tool – Honey. Honey
  • Increased Cooldown from 10s to 12s
Kukulkan Even with the nerfs he received alongside the quality of life change in the 11.3 main patch, this serpent has been ever-resistant to nerfs. We will be directly adjusting how frequently he can use his new and improved Whirlwind alongside his big burst ultimate, Spirit of the Nine Winds. Whirlwind
  • Increased Cooldown from 14/13/12/11/10s to 14/13.5/13/12.5/12s
Spirit of the Nine Winds
  • Increased Cooldown from 90s to 100s
Thanatos The Hand of Death is far and away still the most banned god in ranked by a significant margin, even despite receiving a couple recent nerfs. This is a very clear indication that players do not want to play against Thanatos, and as such, we are nerfing him again to bring his frustration factor down while still maintaining his identity. Scent of Death
  • Decreased Movement Speed and Bonus Movement Speed from 10/15/20/25/30% to 8/12/16/20/24%
Hovering Death
  • Increased Cooldown from 90s to 110/105/100/95/90s
Bake Kujira The whale has maintained his position among the top banned gods, and like Thanatos, he is well above even third place in the rankings. As such, we want to make a series of adjustments to him in order to better temper his early game potential, since one of his greatest strengths is being a menace in lane. General
  • Decreased Basic Attack Damage from 25 to 18
  • Increased Basic Attack Damage per level from 1.5 to 1.8
Rough Waters
  • Increased Cooldown from 12s to 14s
Twisting Dive
  • Decreased Dash Damage from 80/120/160/200/240 to 60/105/150/195/240
