SCUM - Update on PlaySafe ID

Our partnership with PlaySafe ID over the past two months has started to show some promising results. Check it out!




As anyone who's a had a bad run-in with cheaters can attest, their impact on the overall experience of the game could be devastating - especially in a game that is as hardcore as SCUM.

Combating this is no small feat, and with PlaySafe ID, we are slowly gaining the necessary edge we need to start meaningfully fight back against cheaters.

Two months ago, we've started to introduce PlaySafe ID to a handful of servers, and the results that we have show promise:



We've been quite pleased with the response that we've received, and we've seen a steady increase of interest for PlaySafe ID signups as players report significantly fewer issues with cheaters on servers. We're happy to see this collaboration going forward and because of this, we've decided to expand the number of servers that utilize PlaySafe ID which you can see in the list below:

Make no mistake, we're very much aware of the concerns that you have voiced with regards to signing up for PlaySafe ID. That is why we'd like to emphasize once more that:

  • PlaySafe ID signup is completely optional. You do not need it to play SCUM.
  • It will NOT be enforced and utilized on existing servers.
