October GameJam & CATALYST pin launch - This Week In RuneScape

Spooky Jam

Game Jams give our J-Mods the chance to spend some time exploring personal projects, community suggestions, and other exciting ideas. This Game Jam will run for the next two weeks from October 20th until the 31st.

This year we have been sprinkling in Game Jam projects releases like the recent Tuska Removal effort, Runecrafting QoL and Shrike Strikes. We will continue to work towards bringing more of these projects to the players! Keep an eye out on our social media this week to see some of the projects in the works!

As the team will be working on Gamejam projects this week there won't be a regular update next week nor a regular "This Week in RuneScape" newspost.

Please note that everything shown is subject to internal reviews, scheduling and testing processes. While these projects may appear complete in places, all Game Jam projects take a significant amount of additional work to implement - not all Game Jam projects shown may make it into the game, and we can't offer a timeline or guarantees of Game Jam content releases.

Fixes and Improvements in this Week's Game Update

Leagues Catalyst

"The Crested Guest is Best" task is now completable by bowing to Seren without using the override system so long as the Crest is unlocked.
Leagues players can now fully benefit from the Savvy Runecrafting XP boost

Harvest Hollow

A small tweak to help performance at the summoning circle in Harvest Hollow.
Increased the hunter XP by 20x and agility XP by 5x from in the Maize Maze
The bonfire barrel matching the colour of the bonfire in Harvest Hollow now has a sparkle effect
The bonfire in Harvest Hollow now switches colour less often
Prevented bonus XP affecting the Prayer XP reward from Eep's Bounty of Bones collection

The Grim Harvest is upon us! Smash & thrash Pumpkins in the Grim Harvest to earn H'oddments and fill up the Harvest Bonus bar! This year the harvest comes with a new Yellow Hallowe'en mask, a terrifying Ripper Demon inspired outfit and a Bloodthirsty walk override!
