A little patch week as work continues on the Autumn Updates!

Patch Notes
Fixes and Improvements in this Week's Game Update

Mining and Smithing

  • Ensured the Grand Exchange Gold Value listed on the smelting/smithing interface is derived from the middle column rather than the left column, irrespective of which one is selected.
  • Added maplink to the abyssal demon resource dungeon south-east of the Slayer Tower.
  • Added maplink to the Kal'gerion resource dungeon on the south-west Daemonheim peninsula.
  • Added Mining site icon inside the Kal'gerion resource dungeon.
  • Moved promethium ore rocks near the resource dungeon entrance south-east of the Daemonheim peninsula one tile to the west, so their clickzones are less inclined to intersect.
  • Reverted the health of Shooting Stars back to its original amount.
  • Mining bonus XP at Barbarian Assault now gives appropriate XP at levels 100 to 110.

Hotfixes

  • Fixed an issue that blocked players from creating the following items using Divination:
    • Portent of Restoration I / Attuned Portent of Restoration I
    • Raw Trout
    • Iron Ore
    • Nihil drops (4 recipes to convert between the types)
    • Inferior Locator
    • Poor Locator
    • Good Locator
    • Superior Locator
    • Banite Ore
    • Runite Ore
  • The completion messages for sub-objectives of the Spirit Moonstone (rock) and Attuned Moonstone (rock) are no longer output to the developer console.

General

  • Added in a calendar entry for the 4th Necromancy Conjure update, which goes live on September 2nd 2024.

Engine

  • Fixed a Android crash when closing the client.
  • Fixed an issue resulting in particle effects turning off after death.
  • Fixed an issue where some models would flicker and disappear in UI elements.
  • Fixed an issue where a small number of achievements (like 'Researcher VII') would report the incorrect status.
  • Fixed an issue resulting in incorrect and missing visuals for some particle effects depending on player rotation or position.
  • Improved the visual stability of water.
  • Improved VFX performance.

These two communities who are focused on being diverse, inclusive and welcoming bastions of friendly players will be hosting the following event:

World Suicide Prevention Day 2024 ~ Change the Narrative ~ A Living Ribbon!

This years theme is all about Changing the Narrative on Suicide by talking and sharing, shifting from a culture of silence and stigma to one of openness, understanding, and support. Every conversation, no matter how small, helps to contribute towards a more supportive and understanding society.

They will be gathering at Fort Forinthry for some fun dancing and chat before getting together to create a wonderful symbol of hope, a "Living Ribbon", by placing our characters in the shape of the Suicide Prevention Ribbon and making some lovely screenshots together to mark the occasion!
