Blimey! Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean has raised the cursed sails and docked into Fortnite as part of the Battle Royale v30.20 July 19 hotfix (“Cursed Sails”). Cast off with the ghostly Ship in a Bottle, explore Shipwreck Shallows, and hunt for buried treasure. Cursed Sails runs until August 6, 2024, at 4 AM ET!
Taking part in nautical antics will help you complete Cursed Sails Quests, unlocking a treasure trove of in-game rewards buried in the Cursed Sails Pass.
Plunder the Pass’ free reward track to unlock items from the world of Pirates of the Caribbean, such as Jack’s Cutlass and Bane Pickaxe and Jack’s Prize Back Bling. The Premium Reward Track offers a hoard of extra goods that can be unlocked at the same time as the treasures in the free reward track. When you purchase this upgrade, you'll instantly unlock the Jack Sparrow Outfit!
Ship-“Wrecked”
Cursed Sails will have you aboard different kinds of vessels than what you’re used to in Wrecked. Use them in your adventure for buried treasure!
Ship in a Bottle
Unleash the spectral fury of the seven seas! Among other places, you can find a Ship in a Bottle inside Chests scattered in Shipwreck Shallows’ pirate ship. Crack it open to bring forth a cursed ship from the ghostly depths that can dive into opponents with a devastating crash. You can also take aim at landlubbers from the crow’s nest! After a short distance, the ship will dissipate.
Unvaulted: Pirate Cannon
Chart a course for the skies! Jump into one of the Pirate Cannons located around Shipwreck Shallows to launch yourself avast distance. Or roll it to a prime destination to launch a teammate into uncharted territory.
Unvaulted: Buried Treasure
Buried Treasure awaits on the Island! Hunt for treasure like the Flint-Knock Pistol and other loot using one of the Buried Treasure Maps in Chests and on the ground across the BR Island. X marks the spot, matey.

Of Bounty and Doubloons
If you’re setting sail on your cursed ship and in pursuit of pirate plunder, then we’ve got some good news for ya: yer not just sailin' across the BR Island, ye'll be conquerin' Cursed Sails Quests too!
Completing Cursed Sails Quests will line your pockets with Cursed Gold. The more Cursed Gold you have, the more goods you’ll unlock from the Cursed Sails Pass! Keep track of your gold stash (and remaining Pass rewards) by heading to the Cursed Sails tab in the Lobby.
Your timbers sufficiently shivered? The Cursed Sails Pass has a free reward track and Premium Reward Track upgrade available for 1,000 V-Bucks. The free reward track contains 11 unlockable rewards, including the Skull and Crossed Swords Back Bling and Jack’s Cutlass and Bane Pickaxe. Complete your voyage to the end of this reward track and you’ll unlock the Jack’s Prize Back Bling!
With the Premium Reward Track, you can unlock extra rewards without having to complete any additional Quests. As an added bonus, you’ll instantly unlock the Jack Sparrow Outfit after purchasing this upgrade! Take “Captain” Jack Sparrow with you into LEGO® Fortnite and LEGO islands with his included LEGO Style.
The Premium Reward Track adds more unlockable rewards like the Jack Sparrow’s Sword Pickaxe, Jack’s Compass Back Bling, and Jar of Dirt Emote (Guess what’s inside it?). If you reach the Premium Reward Track’s end, you’ll unlock the Cursed Jack Sparrow Outfit which also comes with a LEGO Style!
